In 99 % of all cases worldwide the DB query language SQL (Structured Query Language) is used for the operation and control of a DBMS. Despite the fact that it is widely used SQL has numerous disadvantages. Solving these problems has become the objective of our research and development activities.
After an extensive research period we have been able to resolve the following core problems in connection with SQL. Our continuous and comprehensive development and optimisation activities regarding SQL has led us to develop a new META language generation for data base management systems that we have called "BLL - Bubble Logic LanguageĀ®". |

Database systems and especially the DB query languages necessary for their operation and control represent is the focus of our research and development activities.
A data base system (DBS) may be outlined as follows: A DBS consists of a part of a software, the data base management system (DBMS), and a certain number of data bases. The DBMS can be described as a special program stored in the main memory of the computer and executed under the control of the operating system. A data base is a collection of data trying to map facts of a specific part of the real world. The DBMS functions as an interface between the user and a database.
In comparison to other database systems the currently most frequently used concept of relational database systems is characterized by its user-friendliness, the separation of program and data, the table structure and data integrity, by the reduction of redundancies etc.. A so-called "DB query language" is required for the operation and control of a database management system. The most frequently occurring deficiencies in data base management systems may be eliminated by an optimisation of the programming language (its applications and/or the used DB query languages)(illustration).
Our opinion is also shared by IBM who write in their cookbook regarding DB2 that the areas of the applications and the query languages used offer the greatest potential for tuning and cost saving. |
